Q: What is SurveyPie?
A: SurveyPie is an easy to use online survey tool which helps you to start a survey within 5 minutes.
Q: Does SurveyPie help me with data collections?
A: No, SurveyPie doen not provide panel sevices. You need to deploy survey and collect result through your own sources.
Q: What's account balance? Can I withdraw it?
A: You can recharge your account first and use balance to upgrade your account at anytime. Balance will be in your account forever but you can't withdraw it.
Q: Can I uploade word/PDF files to SurveyPie?
A: No you can't uploade word or PDF files. Pro account users can add questions in batches to create a survey.
Q: I exported raw data but the spreadsheet is empty.
A: That's because you used download tools to export data. Please turn off any kind of download tools before exporting report or raw data.
Q: How to import raw data into SPSS?
A: SPSS only accept .xls files but the file you exported at SurveyPie is a .csv file. Please import data in Excel to make a .xls file first.
Q: Why some of the numbers of my data ends in "0000"?
A: If the number in your data is too long, Excel will automatically transfer it to scientific notation. To show all digits correctly, please import your data in Excel first.
Here's how to import data in Excel.
1. Open a new Excel file, click Data - From Text. And select the file you exported at SurveyPie.
2. Choose "Delimited" in wizard step 1, and "Comma" in step 2.
3. In step 3, find the column where long numbers are in, and change the format to Text. Click on Finish.
Q: What does source report mean?
A: That's how your respondents opened and took your survey.
Q: Can I get respondents' IP addresses?
A: Yes SurveyPie will record respondents' IP addressess.
Q: I'm in preview mode and I clicked Next Page button. Why am I still on current page?
A: Please make sure all required questions are answered. Unanswered questions should be highlighted.
Q: The SurveyPie website only show partial. How to fix it?
A: Try clearing browser cache first. And if you're using Internet Explorer, make sure its version is above 8.0. We recommend you to use Chrome or Firefox.
Q: All questions are copied and pasted into my survey. But why can't the survey work properly?
A: Please make sure you didn't paste all questions in the "Note" or "Description" sections. You need to click on question buttons on the top of Edit page to add questions.
Q: Can I send gifts to respondents after they take my survey?
A: SurveyPie doesn't have this feature. If you want to send gifts to them, you'll need to do it on your own after the survey.
Q: I forgot my login password. How can I reset it?
A: Click on "Forget your password" link on login page and follow instruction to reset your password.
Q: My Email address became invalid. How can I change it?
A: Please login your account and send a message to us. We'll change it for you.
Q: Is there top limit on my survey or responses count?
A: No. You can create unlimited surveys and collect unlimited responses. But Basic account users can only make 10 new surveys each day.
Q: Can I use SurveyPie to send out Email survey invitations?
A: No, we don't provide Email system. You can send out email invitations through your own email system.
Q: Is my survey public to everyone?
A: No. Only those who received your survey URL can take your surveys.
Q: Do I need to sign up to SurveyPie to take surveys?
A: No you don't need to sign up. Just click on the link to take the survey.
Q: I mistakenly deleted survey/ responses. How can I restore it?
A: Deleted surveys or responses CANNOT be restored.
Q: How can I find out who's taken the survey and who's not?
A: There are several ways:
1. Add a question into the survey asking respondents to fill in their names or other identities.
2. Set up a unique password for each respondent.
3. Use API collector (programming skills required).
